Teacher Jeannie

Ms. Jeannie Castillo, or "Teacher Jeannie", is a U.S.-trained and licensed Kindermusik educator, as well as the founder and director of Kindermusik with Teacher Jeannie & Company.

Since Teacher Jeannie began her program in 2003, she has taught thousands of children from birth to age seven throughout the Metro Manila area, and has been featured in special interest and television news programs, major newspapers, and parenting magazines. She is also a regular speaker at various preschools, parenting workshops, teaching workshops, and health forums to share information on the power of music, and its positive effects on brain and early childhood development.

Ms. Castillo is proud to be among the early pioneers of Kindermusik in the Philippines, opening the country's very first fully-dedicated Kindermusik® studio in Quezon City in 2006. She is also the first Filipino educator to be awarded the Kindermusik Maestro Award for Excellence, an honor given to only the top 1% of Kindermusik programs worldwide.

In addition to her role as Director and Owner for Kindermusik with Teacher Jeannie & Company, Ms. Castillo is also the Director and Owner of Kindermusik Philippines, the Exclusive Authorized Distributor for Kindermusik in the country, responsible for training, development, and overall growth for Kindermusik nationwide.

Prior to discovering Kindermusik®, Ms. Castillo graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago in the United States with a business degree in marketing. She built a successful career in the corporate world before she became a parent, and decided to turn her love for teaching, children, and music into a full-time vocation.

Ms. Castillo has studied and lived in various countries around the world including Australia, Sweden, France, Germany, South Korea and the United States. She has been an academic scholar throughout her school years, and has been singing since the age of three, performing in various choirs, ensembles and local productions. She also plays the piano and organ.

Of all her passions, Teacher Jeannie is most dedicated to her role as mom to her eldest son Jamie, who first inspired her to become a Kindermusik educator, and her youngest son Jack who has been a Kindermusik Kid since he was in the womb. Together with her husband Jaime, Teacher Jeannie is an active, hands-on parent to both her sons, being a firm believer in the important role that we parents play in our children's growth and development. As a dedicated parenting and family advocate, Teacher Jeannie shares:

"I love teaching Kindermusik, because it combines my love for learning and music, while honoring parents and children, families, in the learning process . . . to me, there is nothing more beautiful than seeing a child dancing in his mother's or father's arms, feeling completely and totally happy and secure. I am so blessed that I get to share in these precious moments of our Kindermusik families . . . Kindermusik is truly a magical experience that I am privileged to share with the children and families in our community."
